Installation Instructions
For your new
PIVOTING COVER RACK
In order to install your new PIVOTING COVER RACK, the two angles must be fixed securely to a wall or to suitably positioned timber or steel members. If fixing to a Gib or wallboard clad wall, ensure that the fixings are secured into the framing timber and not just the lining. Since studs will inevitably not line up with the holes in the angles, fixing a 75x50 or similar to the studs on top of the lining and bolting the angles to that, has worked well for many people.
The angles must be fixed horizontally and must be located vertically one above the other. Check that the wall is true and pack top or bottom angle as required. The distance from the top of one angle to the top of the other angle should be 1200mm. Failure to locate the angles exactly one above the other will mean that your covers will always swing against the wall on one side or other, or stick straight out. When checking the holes are vertical, measure from the hole, do not use the end of the bracket.
Mounting height will depend on the size of cover that you plan to put on the PIVOTING COVER RACK and how tall you are. We have found mounting the top of the lower angle 750mm above the floor to be a good compromise for most situations.
Fixing may be by any suitable method so long as a secure mounting is obtained. We have found M10x50 coach screws satisfactory for mounting onto timber and M10x50 Excalibur masonry anchors suitable for solid concrete and concrete blocks.
